      Funeral from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St. Stoneham on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment, Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.

      In the afternoon on 12/10/16, Belmont Fire Alarm Struck Box 4112 for 125 Trapelo Road for smoke from the building and alarms sounding. Response was Engines 1, 2, Ladder 1, Rescue 1 and C3.all companies operated at this All Hands Job for a small kitchen fire.

      12/9/16 - Group 3 - Engines 2, 1, Ladder 1, Rescue 1 and C3 responded to a tragic train vs car accident on Brighton St. at the MBTA Train Crossing. Multiple patients transported.

      Belmont Fire's Engine 1 (Group 1) and C1 operated at the City of Cambridge's 10 Alarm Fire on December 3rd for roughly 10 hours.
      Memphis Fire Fighters Association Donates to Burn Center

      The Memphis Fire Fighters Association Foundation donated $25,000 to the Fire Fighters Burn Center at Regional One Health.  The donation was from proceeds from the annual golf tournament held for the Burn Center.

      2016 Christmas Ornament is now available

      The 2016 Christmas Ornament is now available. Waterbury Station 3 Station 3 was built in 1903 at 288 Washington Avenue, in the Brooklyn section of Waterbury. It was constructed to replace a volunteer station located at 905 Bank Street and housed both Engine Company 3 and the Bureau of Auto Repair. In May 1964 the firehouse was shuttered to make way for the new Route 8.

      Today is the 75th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, something many today know nothing about. Here is a little history courtesy of the Joey DiBernardo Foundation: As the Hickam Field firefighting apparatus was knocked out, Honolulu Fire companies responded to assist with the fires. At 0826 a Japanese aerial bomb was dropped on crews from HFD Engine Co.1, 4, and 6.

      City of Chula Vista to swear in Council Members Padilla and Diaz

      All Local 2180 members are invited to attend the swearing in of both Council Members Steve Padilla and Mike Diaz. Both Council Members elect have requested all of us to attend the swearing in ceremony. The ceremony will be at City Hall at 1800 hours. After the Ceremony you are invited to attend a hosted reception at Third Avenue Alehouse to celebrate.

      December 6, 2016 - The Stamford Professional Fire Fighters Association is hosting its 11th annual toy drive from November 20 – December 15. Those wishing to donate can drop off a new, unwrapped toy at any Stamford fire station any day of the week between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Gifts should include toys appropriate for children under the age of 18.

      Local 1747, the Kent Firefighters Foundation and the Kent Regional Fire Authority are proud to once again be kicking off our Toys for Joy campaign. Toys for Joy is an annual event where new, unwrapped toys are collected, sorted, wrapped and delivered to local food banks and outreach programs to be distributed to local families in our community for the holidays.
